There is a quiet math happening in homes across our community. Electricity, or the counselling appointment. Groceries, or the therapy that keeps a parent standing. When the cost of living climbs and the budget will not stretch, mental health support is the first thing families cut. Not because it matters less, but because it does not keep the lights on tonight.
So the support disappears exactly when the pressure is highest, and families carry it alone.
Mental health is a need, not a luxury. This campaign exists to treat it like one.
Our Mental Health and Wellness Program gives families no-barrier, no-fee access to registered clinical counsellors. Individual and group counselling. Support through loss, separation, and the transitions that knock a person sideways. Real care from trained professionals, for the Mamas who need it most, without a waitlist they cannot afford or a fee they cannot pay. It has run since 2017 and now reaches over 1,000 individuals a year.
This is not a new idea we are asking you to believe in. It is a program that already works, and we are raising $100,000 to keep it open and growing.
Every dollar funds real care. $125 covers a counselling session for a mama who would otherwise go without. $500 funds a month of weekly support through a crisis. Your gift does not buy awareness. It buys the hour in a room with a counsellor that changes how someone gets through the week.
Mental health is a need. Help us keep funding it like one.
