Holiday Program

The Holiday Hamper Program embodies the core mission of Mamas for Mamas: to uplift families in crisis and ensure everyone can celebrate the holidays with dignity. Our approach is rooted in the philosophy of “a hand up, not a handout.” We prioritize families who have actively engaged with our services throughout the year, including our Karma Market, Mental Health Services, Sustainable Nourishment Program, and our At-Risk Program and Family Court Support Program. This focus ensures that the hampers reach those who need them most.

We encourage families to explore other community holiday support programs first, but we are dedicated to filling any gaps and collaborating with other organizations to avoid duplication of efforts. The success of our hampers relies on the generosity of our sponsors and the community. Each contribution, no matter the size, transforms into a beacon of hope, reminding us that kindness is our greatest currency.
With the support of our community, the Holiday Hamper Program not only helps families survive the holiday season but empowers them to thrive, knowing they are cared for and supported.

Eligible clients will receive a direct link to the holiday support application from their caseworker starting Please note that receiving the application link does not guarantee acceptance into the program.

Client Support Eligibility and Application:

Mamas for Mamas provides a range of services, including counseling, social work support, a deaf and hard of hearing program, and the Karma Market. Clients also have access to specialized support through our Family Court Support Program and At-Risk Program. Families must be registered in the Mamas for Mamas database and have accessed our services within the last 10 months.

The application process involves providing detailed information to best fulfill each family’s items of request. Some families may be paired directly with a donor, while others may be given the opportunity to shop for their needs. The holiday staff will do their best to accommodate individual circumstances; however, the final decision will rest with the organization to ensure the best possible support for all.

Upon approval, a confirmation number will be issued, which is essential for attending your Holiday Program Appointment.
